Students in Mrs. McCarbery's EDEC 414: Social Studies methods class "traveled-back-in-time" to Colonial America. Each student took on the persona of a historical figure of that time; dressing the part, telling his or her story and sharing artifacts of the life as a colonialist.
Mrs. McCarbery set the stage for the experience. Audience members were asked to close their eyes and imagine traveling back-in-time. (Cue time-travel music.) When the music stopped, students opened their eyes and listened to stories from residents of the village.
